I love the buckeyes that my husbands aunt makes every year and those powdery lemon cookies. Trader Joe’s also makes these amazing chewy eggnog cookies that I can’t get enough of. Yum!!
booklovingme AT gmail DOT com
How sad is it that I’ve never had a buckeye? I must remedy that soon. Love lemon cookies though
Puppy chow! I only make it once a year, at Christmas time, and I savor every bite! It’s so bad but so good!!
Following you on twitter – @booksconsidered
I have a friend that makes puppy chow every year….love her for that. Now I’m hungry and there’s nothing sweet in the house to eat
Buckeyes are amazing, but my favorite holiday treat is clementines… in a wooden box… from spain.
My boys love clementines! We always have a box of them in the house at this time of year

Hello
My favorite treat are Cello Cherries and Spearmint candy canes. I know you can buy Cello cherries all year round but I don’t ever get around to it.
TO EVA – I saw a post from you in the blog hop that said you liked Puppy chow and I thought you were joking but now that I see you wrote it again and have a co-signer with Rita I had to look it up. It looks delicious…they could have given it a better name though…LOL
Merry Christmas
Leela Lou
I totally agree about the name ‘puppy chow’…makes me think of Kibbles and Bits
My favorite is hot white chocolate peppermint caramel mocha! so so delicious!
Yummy
My favorite treat is the Death by Chocolate cake I make once a year!
Sounds incredible
One of my favorite treats is my mom’s Pumpkin Pie…no one makes it as good as she does..not even me when I use her recipe.
I stick with making apple pies because my pumpkin always tastes bland…a fact that my kids never let me forget
Gingerbread men!
I am torn between homemade fudge and buckeyes.
vampiremistress2010(at)gmail(dot)com
Hi Rita! Thanks so much for the giveaway.
My favorite holiday treat are these cookie balls dusted in powdered sugar that my mom makes.
Happy holidays!
My favorite treat would have to be heavenly hash. My husband’s grandmother makes it every year and it is amazing! That or Puppy Chow…. I love that stuff and could eat it all the time! lol
My favorite is homemade fudge, I love it. Merry Christmas.
Kit3247(at)aol(dot)com
A friend gave me homemade fudge today — totally unexpected and totally appreciated
I love gingerbread cookies. Especially when I get to make them into gingerbread houses!
We attempt gingerbread houses…they look like something the Griswold’s would create!!!
I love Vaniljekranse, Risengrød, pebernødder, konfekt and finskbrød

Ps. I am danish so that´s why I wrote all those strange words hehe

TERRy, I should be humming and singing Christmas Carols ….. Instead, I can’t get the damn “Doris’ Chicken” song out of my head !
My fav holiday treat is from Starbucks… a hazelnut hot chocolate:)
yadkny@hotmail.com
Not really a favorite but I’m weak toward all the cookies and cakes xD
Me too
My sister makes a stained glass jello that is awesome. My kids make a huge batch of Chex Mix. And of course, chocolate!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I need books for the holiday break! My fav holiday treats are eggnog and rum balls!
grapeapril75(AT)gmail.com
Eggnog is my favorite holiday treat!
My husband brought some home yesterday…I’m saving it for the weekend
My favorite holiday treat is my great, grandmother’s fruitcake recipe. I have been converting co-workers for years to the joys of homemade fruitcake.
Merry Christmas and thanks for the blog stop.
Bookworm (dot) judy (at) gmail (dot) com
I was waiting to see if someone would say fruitcake. Yay! My grandmother used to make excellent fruitcake (my dad loved it)! Merry Christmas!
chocolate cake
bn100candg(at)hotmail(dot)com
My grandmother used to make an awesome chocolate cake and when she passed no one wanted to use her recipe because we knew it wouldn’t taste the same;-)
My friend makes this caramel corn that we call crack corn because it’s so addictive! That has to top the list of fave holiday treats for me. Thanks for the giveaway!
Cyndi
I’m drowning in Boy Scout caramel popcorn…ended up buying a ton because both of my sons are scouts. I shouldn’t say this publicly but their caramel corn doesn’t knock my socks off (homemade is definitely better).
I’m a big fan of pumpkin cookies.. followed up with hot chocolate & whipped cream. Mmm.. dip the cookie into the whipped cream. Tasty! Reading everyone’s favorite treats is making me rather hungry!
Me too..I’m hungry and wish I had access to some of the recipes
Yes ! You need to try a buckeye !! I make them every year, and people fight over them on my cookie trays
I also love Oreo Balls
Merry Christmas !

I love the Turtle cake that my mom makes once a year for dinner on Christmas day.
I don’t think I’ve ever had Turtle cake but it sounds delicious!
I don’t have a favorite but I love the abundance of baked goods available this time of year.
bituin76 at hotmail dot com
Anything with peppermint. Yum!
Yes to all things peppermint. My kids totally make fun of me because I use a lip gloss (clearly aimed at teenaged girls) because it has the most awesome peppermint flavor. Yum!
I am English and live in Spain. I have never heard of buckeyes or puppy chow. Though the clementines are great and so cheap. For me its mince pie with ice cream.
p.winmill.hotmail.com
My mom used to make mince pie every year. Usually my dad would devour the whole thing smothered with vanilla ice cream (not in one day, of course).
Baileys on ice with peanut butter chip brownies!
Martin – send some brownies this way, my friend. I’ve got the Baileys chillin’
-Rita
Warm, gooey, chewy cookies. Right now I’m munching on triple chocolate oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They must be warm and fresh from the oven. Yumm-o.
planterofhope at aol dot com
So hungry right now…reading your comment is not helping;-)
I love pumpkin pie and it seems that this is the only time of the year that I eat it. Oh, and anything else with chocolate in it!
Same here…I only eat pie during the holidays. Kind of sad considering how delicious they are
One of my favorite treats is homemade pizelles with a cup of coffee.
Hi Kelly! Your pizelles are awesome…they taste great with everything:) Thanks for stopping by!
-Rita
Li’l Kelly, is that you ? Cheers , FATBOY !
It’s my famous peanut butter fudge. It’s a really simple recipe and it actually tastes like peanut butter. It’s the best I’ve ever eaten.
I love fudge…it’s the one treat that I’m really picky about. Not all candy shops do it justice so I usually stick to homemade. I bet your peanut butter fudge rocks!
My favorite holiday treat is merely all the food – people always break out such creative recipes at the holidays
I rely on others to be creative with their recipes because mine tend to be basic;-)
I cannot resist to gingerbread and some tangerines
swordlily_girl[at]yahoo[dot]com
my favorite is a rum cake <3
Rum cake is a great holiday tradition. Reminds me of my grandmother’s house:-)
not really a holiday cookie but every year me mom makes snickerdoodles, so now I associate it christmas – regnod(at)yahoo(d0t)com
My 10 year old loves snicker doodles. It’s the one thing he likes to help me bake!!!
I do love me some chocolate chip cookies, but I think pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread take the prize. I love pumpkin!
jb-baker(at)comcast(dot)net
I love pumpkin bread for breakfast with a cup of tea. So good
Hot cocoa with butterscotch schnapps, homemade whipped cream and crushed butterscotch candies on top. Delicious!
That sounds incredible. I’ve never had butterscotch schnapps…must change that!
