‘The End’…almost

This week I was reading through a completed manuscript checking for errors when I realized I had skipped something entirely.  An epilogue.  When I finished a second draft of this story in 2007 I put it aside without really figuring out what the final few pages should include.  I knew there was a happy ending…always a given.  But, in this case I wanted it to be a little different.

When I did finally reach ‘the end’ I was satisfied.  In my head the characters where at a place that felt right. At this stage I’m not sure this story will be picked up by a publisher — but I am extremely glad I revisited it this week.   Now, at least, I know how the story ended.
