Have you heard the news?

Change of font will cost taxpayers $$$$

A federal mandate to change street sign fonts all across the U.S. by 2018 is getting underway in cities across the country.  At issue is street signs written in CAPS.  The Federal Government is now requiring all streets signs in the U.S.  be written in a font called “Clearview”. The Federal Highway Administration says that safety will improve as a result because drivers can identify the words more quickly when they’re displayed in both upper and lower case fonts.

What will it cost to change “PARK” to “Park”?  Hmmm… only about $110 per sign.  And I bet you thought are economy was tanking?

File this under ick…

Police said a district judge from Intercourse, Pa., hid condoms inside acorns and handed them out to women in the state Capitol complex last week. A summary charge of disorderly conduct was filed Tuesday against Isaac H. Stoltzfus, who presides over low-level cases as a district judge in Lancaster County.  The citation from Capitol Police said the 58-year-old jurist gave the acorns to unsuspecting women, who were offended when they discovered the contents.

Now, I need to get back to work.  Tweaking my completed WIP again.  Yes, this is about the hundreth time I’ve touched it up.  I need to send it out to someone that kindly offered to read it before I submit.  Psst…I’m afraid to hit the send button.  Yes, I’m a mess.  I’m starting to work with a new critique group tomorrow but I haven’t done the needed prep work yet.  Grrrr…I need a SNICKERS bar right now.
